Venice Simplon-Orient-Express: Introducing New Grand Suites
Belmond offers a new level of luxury in the new suite carriage of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. The three Grand Suites are named Paris, Istanbul and Venice. In each spacious suite you can enjoy plush double beds, marble en-suite showers, private dining and free-flowing champagne. Named after the romantic cities to which the train travels, Paris, Venice and Istanbul; interior designs of each cabin reflect the spirit of each city whilst staying true to the original 1920s art-deco design.
The Grand Suite Paris is très chic with crystal mirrors, gleaming marquetry and accents in tones of gold and cream. The Grand Suite Istanbul is opulent, sumptuous with umber hues and embroidered furnishings. The Grand Suite Venice features glass lamps and furniture, woven silks and plush fabrics in silver and turquoise.

The elegant new suites transport guests back to the golden era of travel, when travel by train pioneered the way for travelers to cross international borders. “This is a one of a kind restoration project; we are going to completely transform the individual classic cabins into three exceptional suites. This is such an exciting project and one where for we can offer guests spacious accommodation with private bathrooms and showers. The spirit of each city is brought to life with thoughtful design touches. The opulence and romance of Istanbul is celebrated with hand carved timber and embossed leather whilst the haute couture and gastronomic excellence of Paris is referenced with chic and elegant furnishings. The grandeur of Venice is interwoven with silk fabrics and hues of silver and grey and hand crafted Venetian glass adorns the baroque style furnishings.
The Suite Life
Guests traveling in the Paris, Venice and Istanbul suites will enjoy private transfers to and from the train where they will be welcomed by their personal cabin steward available for all their on-board services, including free-flowing champagne and private in-suite dining. Extra touches include bespoke amenities and a complimentary art-deco bathrobe. Venice Simplon-Orient-Express travels between London, Paris and Venice from March to November and from Paris to Istanbul once a year in August/September on an extraordinary journey from west to east where Europe meets Asia.
